Sergey Gusev

Sergey Gusev was born in St. Petersburg and inspired by the great art collections of the Hermitage and The Russian Museum, he started his artistic way since he was a child. Painting and drawing every single day in the Academy of Fine Arts – the oldest art school in Russia, he learnt different techniques – pastel, watercolors, charcoal but the most interesting for the artist became the oil technique.

Perfecting the oil technique Sergey works in different directions and genres – from realistic portraits and figures to impasto palette knife landscapes and abstracts. In order to share his knowledge Sergey makes video lessons which are available on his channel and teaches personally.

Paintings of Sergey Gusev are in private collections of USA, Russia, Denmark, France and England.
